We over the weekend we took all the gears out of the new gear box and put them in the old one. It worked so we took the chair out side to test the speed and it goes about a jogging pace. It's very fun do drive we drove it standing up and sitting down. There are 4 setting the first is for someone how has never driven a wheel chair the last setting is for experienced wheel chair driver.

Since the gear broke the minute we put it in the gearbox we decided that we would just buy a whole new gear box. The gear box arrived and we installed it, sort of we tried to install it. The place where the gear box is attached is reversed and the holes where you put the screws are to close together. So now we have three options;1. Send the gearbox back and ask for the right one, 2.Grind down the attachment surfaces and insert a metal plate that is the right size, or 3. take out all the parts of the new gearbox and put them in the old gearbox case. We will probably decide what we will do at our next meeting.

We just put the new gear in and it lasted about thirty seconds so now we have to buy a new on or bring the wheel chair to a wheel chair repair shop. The other problem we had was that the two 12 volt batteries would not charge. But by charging them independantly then charging them together they are ready to go. The only thing missing is the gear. We ordered a electronic computer part that can be connected to a motor and a computer. When it is connected the computer can control the motors actions. The divice isn't as user friendly as we hoped it just came with an exploded diagram of all the parts and electonic board.
